When a death occurs you must first advise the medical professionals so they can pronounce death before we collect the deceased.

Once we collect the deceased you must register the death and be issued with a death certificate as well as a Form 14 which is the piece of paper we require to carry out the funeral.

The registrar will offer you a service called 'Tell us once' which is well worth considering as it means they inform all the agencies of the death such as the DVLA, Pensions etc.
